If you’re interested in the unique story we’ve created at the Mermaid Star Motel, look no further than our immersive games: scavenger hunts! We offer a variety of games Motel guests can participate in that range from investigating flowers with UV lights to discovering a new wildlife species! Dive into a shipwreck mystery or investigate a mysterious UFO that looks suspiciously like a giant ice cream. We’ve got fun for all ages and difficulties that anyone can enjoy, just take your pick! A Category 1 hunt is the easiest while a Category 5 hunt is the hardest, just like real hurricanes!

Our Searchlight Hunt is a fun, interactive I-spy that brings you all around our space! When you purchase this hunt, you receive a clipboard with the scavenger hunt paper, a pencil and a UV light. Find the whacky space squares, shine the UV light in the blank space to reveal numbers and write them down on your paper with the corresponding art. After revealing all three codes, make your way to our Centom (looks like a large ice cream), put all the numbers into the skateboard and watch what happens next! After you've finished, bring your paper to the gift shop to receive a prize.

Pepe's Plight is a riddle-based treasure hunt where you're tasked to find the lost gold coins hidden around the Mermaid Star Motel. When you purchase this hunt, you receive a clipboard with all the riddles and a pencil. Lost and adrift from Pepe Gaspar's shipwreck, these coins can be found on walls or hidden around corners, but don't pick them up! Some of them are stuck and on permanent display in the Motel. Find all 14 golden sand dollars to successfully restore our rich history! After you've finished, bring your paper to the gift shop to receive a prize.

Discover the beauty of Florida's flora with this colorful I-Spy! When you purchase this hunt, you receive a clipboard with the scavenger hunt paper, a pencil and a UV light. The first step is to find the 10 Savannah Magnolia Eye Flowers hidden around the Mermaid Star Motel. After locating one, shine the UV light on the empty circles to reveal letters. Write them down in the correct spot on your paper! Once you've found all the letters, flip the paper over and use the corresponding flowers to decode the secret message! After you've finished, bring your paper to the gift shop to receive a prize.

Follow the trail of missing paranormal investigator Jax and Jesse Phoenix and fill in the blanks to uncover a mysterious new species hiding at the Mermaid Star Motel. When you purchase this hunt, you receive a clipboard with the scavenger hunt and a pencil. Find clues hidden around the Motel surrounding their disappearance and write it in the empty spot. See the circled red letters? Collect them all and flip the paper over to solve the final riddle. After you've finished, bring your paper to the gift shop to receive a prize.

FloridaRAMA has been invaded by pythons and it's up to you to find them all with this I-Spy scavenger hunt! When you purchase this hunt, you receive a clipboard showing all the hidden reptiles and a pencil. Find them hidden around the Mermaid Star Hotel and check off the box once you do. Then, turn it over to find more fun games! After you've finished, bring your paper to the gift shop to receive a prize.

Discover 20 of Florida's native birds with this I-Spy scavenger hunt! When you purchase this hunt, you receive a clipboard with all the Birds of Tampa Bay and a pencil. Look around the Mermaid Star Motel to spot these feathered avians, and once you do, check it off on your sheet! After you've finished, bring your paper to the gift shop to receive a prize. This hunt is offered only as part of the Triple Play package.

Search the Mermaid Star Motel for these cute and fuzzy alligators! You'll know them when you see them by the hearts they hold in their mouths. Follow the clues to find each stuffed alligator and mark it off on your sheet once you do. If you're still looking for more fun, flip the paper over to find a few more activities to complete. After you've finished, bring your paper to the gift shop to receive a prize.
