In collaboration with Radley Relics, a new wave of fresh merch will be rolling into the Tourist Trap beginning October 3rd. In addition, fans can look forward to the exclusive FloridaRAMA Spooky Merch as part of this exciting release. A new historical reliquary has been discovered on the outskirts of the Mermaid Star Motel. In celebration of the Halloween season, the Motel has embraced this new change and welcomes it with open arms.
Scary new merch is coming soon to FloridaRAMA, just in time for the opening of Relics & Lore on October 3rd. This is a new spooky exhibit created by popular horror artist Cody Meacham. Also known as Radley Relics, Cody draws guests into a small manifestation of the world living within his mind. Cody has opened a new terrifying chapter for the famous Radley Haunted House. It haunts the shadows of FloridaRAMA. The immersive experience brings guests into a recently uncovered reliquary previously owned by a cursed member of the Radley family.
The Radley Haunted House was a creepy horror experience brought to St. Petersburg back in 2007. Each year, a different member of the Radley house was featured as the owner. Due to the familial curse placed on each member, new uncanny happenings popped up to surprise and scare visitors. It has been many years since the Radleys were last seen. However, now guests visiting the Mermaid Star Motel are encouraged to walk through and admire ancient history from a long-forgotten past. If you’ve been a fan of Cody’s for a while, look for the secrets hinting at the mythology of the Radley story!
Here’s a sneak peek at the abnormal rarities being sold in FloridaRAMA’s gift shop.
Highlight of Relics & Lore: Hand of Glory
The pride of Relics & Lore is none other than the Hand of Glory itself. This is the Radley Relic’s logo and centerpiece of his works. What merch drop would be complete without replicas of Cody’s favorite art piece?
Guests can take home some of the lore for their own haunted homes with the new haunted dismembered finger candles. Yes, they’re real candles! The finger stands perfectly upright with a wick protruding from the end and when lit, it burns with an unsettling glow. While in use, the wax drips down the sides to create a melting experience worthy of being from the Radley Experience. It’s the perfect opportunity to bring a bit of chilling ambience into your home.
If you’re feeling particularly ready to take on the Radley curse, look to the replica of the Hand of Glory candle itself. This is more than just a dismembered finger, because this candle is complete with all five fingers and burns bright with a terrifying glow. Each finger sports a wick at the tip, similar to the true Hand of Glory waiting for guests in Radley & Relics. When all flames are lit, some guests report that doors magically unlock or whispers greet them whenever they look into a mirror. No rumors have been confirmed.

Teeth and Claws
The Mermaid Star Motel provides a sanctuary for animals of all kinds, all personally welcomed by the Motel’s proprietor Pearl Current herself. However, the Everglades has brought in a particular species more often than others, second only to the panthers themselves: the American alligator (alligator mississippiensis). These beautiful creatures lounge around the rivers and ponds around the Motel and watch guests. Be careful! Feeding the alligators is heavily discouraged for your own safety.
The Tourist Trap has ethically sourced authentic alligator hands that have been perfectly preserved for guests to purchase. They mimic the hands that can be found around the Motel. The hands vary in size depending on the alligator they come from. Although some guests believe them to be creepy, others are thankful for the opportunity. Admiring this native Florida species is made much easier with this new merch. In addition, guests don’t have to worry about purchasing from an unethical source.
Bison are a lesser-seen species that appear around the Motel. No recent sightings have been reported, yet a shipment of bison teeth keychains has been sent to the Tourist Trap for safekeeping. Each bison tooth is ethically sourced and attached to a silver keyring. This creates unique take-home keychains for guests to accessorize with. No two teeth are identical since each is real, varying in size, shape, coloration, texture and natural surface markings. Each tooth is unique and makes for the perfect gift or backpack accessory.

Preservation Jars
The Tourist Trap features a wet specimen never before sold in the Motel: octopus tentacles! These 1.5 inch vials contain a small octopus tentacle kept safe in a special preservative. Each tentacle is ethically sourced, all byproducts of the fishing industry. Fun fact, the method used to preserve the tentacles is similar to the method used in the funeral industry. Talk about interesting!
Another jar sits beside the octopus tentacles; a striking collection of natural porcupine quills shows off the cream, brown and dark pointed coloration in a 3.5 inch vial. It is corked at the top to keep them safely inside. These quills serve as an exciting educational decoration to be displayed among other oddities and shown off to friends. Don’t worry, the porcupine won’t miss its quills; on average, a porcupine has more than 30,000 quills and sheds them quite often. This leaves behind remnants that can be safely collected. Quills can grow back within months of being shed. This creates an endless loop of decor!

Stickers, Patches, and Pins
No collection of oddities is complete without creepy stickers to complement them, and the newest Relics & Lore drop is no different. Support Cody Meacham’s journey with a variety of smaller souvenirs that offer limited creativity! Place a sticker on your water bottle and show off the Hand of Glory to all your friends. Or sew a patch onto your backpack and travel with the weight of the Radley family on your shoulders.
Show your friends how much you enjoyed the new Relics & Lore exhibits with a keepsake that proves you survived the horrors. Guests looking for a small souvenir can take home one of two sticker designs available for purchase, each one including the Hand of Glory as the centerpiece. The first includes a beautifully morbid reliquary design curling around the Hand and the second is the Radley & Relics logo. It celebrates the new exhibit printed on transparent sticker paper. A version of each will also be available as a patch for those interested in fixing them to bags, purses, clothes or other travel items.
