Python Alley
🔍 FloridaRAMA Clues & Games
- The road you take to enter the FloridaRAMA experience is called Python Alley, a riff on the Alligator Alley nickname for the stretch of I75 between Naples and Fort Lauderdale that crosses through the Florida Everglades National Park and the invasive Burmese Pythons that have invaded Florida. These large pythons are capable of hunting and consuming a wide variety of animals, including deer. Keep an eye out for them as you travel up the ramp and explore the Mermaid Star Motel.
- Visit the front desk to play the FloridaRAMA Python Challenge scavenger hunt.
- Take the exit for the Mermaid Start Motel. The FloridaRAMA experience all centers around this strange roadside motel and its owners, history and guests, some of whom have gone missing.
🌴 Florida & FloridaRAMA Facts
- Did you know that the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) hosts the annual Florida Python Challenge™, a 10 day contest to remove pythons from the Everglades and increase awareness about invasive species and the threats they pose to Florida’s ecology?
- At FloridaRAMA, we have the FloridaRAMA Python Challenge which you can add on to your experience at the front desk so you can join in the search for several pesky pythons.
