Mark Mitchell is a Conceptual Pop Artist. He is a graduate of PRATT Manhattan, and former NYC Creative Director. Mark’s work has been showcased during ART BASEL MIAMI, displayed at THE LOUVRE and ARMORY ARTS WEEK, jury-selected by Pop-Surrealism Master RON ENGLISH, and seen at bG GALLERY, Santa Monica.

Locally, Mark’s paintings have exhibited and been awarded at major festivals and group exhibitions including GASPARILLA, ART FESTIVAL BETH-EL, ART CENTER SARASOTA, and DUNEDIN FINE ARTS CENTER. Public works include SHINE, REALIZE BRADENTON A large showcase of his work resides at HYATT HOUSE Tampa Airport/Westshore. Commissions include clients GREAT BAY DISTRIBUTORS and BANK OZK. Mitchell received a CREATIVE PINELLAS Artist Grant, and hosted solo exhibitions at TECO, FLORIDA SOUTHERN COLLEGE, and WOODFIELD GALLERY.

Through the use of meaningful juxtaposition and social commentary, Mark Mitchell’s work is an exploration of the irony, contradiction, parallels and harmony to be found in 21st-century life.
