A St. Petersburg native, Chad Jacobs has had a keen interest in the arts ever since he could put crayon to paper. Upon graduating from the PCCA Program at Gibbs High School with a focus on Visual Art, he went on to earn his BFA in Illustration (with a minor in Graphic Design) from the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Currently, Chad is back in St. Pete working as a freelance illustrator and designer and has collaborated with local organizations such as American Stage, Feld Entertainment, FloridaRAMA, Girl Scouts of West Central Florida, The James Museum of Western and Wildlife Art, The Palladium at St. Petersburg College, The Salvador Dalí Museum, and The Studio@620. This ongoing design work within the community helped him qualify for – and ultimately become the recipient of – an Individual Artist Grant through the City of St. Petersburg in 2025.

Chad was also one of the inaugural FloridaRAMA diorama artists, and has had artwork featured in exhibits at the Morean Arts Center, The Factory, and MIZE Gallery. He occasionally dabbles in theatre, and has done a handful of performances as Keith Haring in Radiant Child, a one-man show about the artist’s life written by the late local playwright Jeff Norton.
