Soft Data: Florida in Bloom is a surreal reflection on native Florida flora and the quiet emotional imprint of place. Each piece reimagines real plant life found across St. Petersburg—from the resilient flora near sand dunes, to wildflowers reclaiming forgotten lots, to expansive fields that hum with stillness. By blending natural forms with dreamlike, tech-infused aesthetics, the work explores how memory, environment, and emotion overlap. This series invites guests to consider the soft, often unnoticed ways landscapes shape us—holding stories not in facts or figures, but in feeling.
Bio—
Tyler Norman is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the intersection of nature and surrealism, with a particular emphasis on flora as both subject and symbol. Through digital and 3D mediums, he blends organic forms—such as flowers and plant life—with surreal, tech-infused elements to evoke emotion and tension. His dreamlike yet grounded visuals reflect a deep connection to the natural world, delving into themes of fragility, transformation, and emotional complexity. Fascinated by the contrast between softness and structure, Norman creates imagery that feels both ethereal and engineered. With a background in motion design, stage visuals, and creative direction, his creative process is always rooted in emotion.
